My name is Ola Soltan (short for Aleksandra) and I am a visual artist and illustrator. If you also read Tove Jansson’s original Moomin novels for her haunting but beautiful illustrations, my art is for you. I work mostly with ink and rarely with color. As a self-taught artist, years of sketching and creative hobbies have transitioned into a (semi-) professional venture.

After stints in Boston and Sweden, I am currently based in Miami and grateful every day for the year-round warm weather. However, cabin fever sets in if I’m not traveling often. I draw a lot of my inspiration from my travels, especially in natural environments that feel borderline fantastical. My work aims to capture the unknown that is hiding in deep forests and never-ending expanses of ocean.
